MISSION

The Portland Queer Arts Project is an arts organization that lifts up and celebrates Portland’s queer artists, advocates and allies. We create spectacular events designed to kindle community around art, foster and develop queer artists and create lasting bonds in a supportive, inclusive, kind and loving Portland.

HOW WE DO IT

We create breathtaking original work on queer-specific themes to create deep and needed conversation on these topics.

We support Portland’s queer artists and arts organizations by programming their work, and producing for them fundraisers, parties, concerts, theater, exhibitions and more.

We create not only art events but parties, games and happenings around them that encourage our audiences to stay and play. We believe art is a catalyst for deep connection and we create the social container where that can happen.

We bring the different facets of our community together in collaborations that foster camaraderie, create a larger sense of queer identity, cross-pollinate audiences and generate a deep network of solidarity and support.
